Artist's Description
While the ruined cathedral and priory get most of the attention from visitors to St Andrews, the medieval castle is equally as interesting. To capture this scene I arrived before dawn and found a spot on the clifftop walk leading to the castle. I toyed with the idea of climbing down to the rocks on the shore, but there were large signs warning about the dangers of the crumbling cliffs, so I opted for safety - I'd say it worked out!
