Description
Rhuddlan will forever be associated with Edward I's 'Statute of Wales', essentially an English takeover of Wales. There was a fortified town here as early as the 10th century, but the castle we see today is largely the work of Edward's chief mason, Master James of St George, who began work in 1278. Enough history! Its gorgeous as the sun sets, and the walls seem to glow with reddish light. Wow!
