Description
Harlech Castle was one of Edward I's ring of stone fortresses built to subdue the welsh. The castle stands on a high cliff, with wonderful views to the peaks of Snowdonia in the distance. Shall I tell a secret? I saw a guidebook with a photo of the castle from this angle, but I couldn't figure out where the photographer had taken it from. I asked the guide inside the castle, and he instantly told me how to find this viewpoint from a small park a short walk from the castle itself. I'm glad I asked!
