Broughton is one of my favourite castles in England. Part of its attraction is the amazing setting, surrounded by a wide moat and approached via a causeway to a picturesque gatehouse. Another part of the attraction for me is that I met the owner, Lady Saye and Sele, while visiting the house, and she was such a lovely person to talk to!
